Folk / Humanoid, YMC, Oliver Spencer Sample Sale on Redchurch St, Shoreditch
My favourite sample sale comes twice a year, from that favored crew of London-based designers who have kind of defined the comfy, quality, slightly tweedy dandy Saville Row meets East London look. I braved the long queue of hip-middle-age-ster men-folk, with baby Phoenix in Ergo sling and crisp £50 lucky money bills; pushed, perused, gathered, piled, edited, stalked, grabbed, bargained and bought 😉 Among the fashion PAs, Chinese art school students, bearded bespectacled designers and Shoreditch lifers (like me) – I still got it – the eagle eye – to find necessary comfort (Humanoid), neutrals with just a bit of colour-blocking (Folk), staple autumn jacket (Folk), and a good broguey pair of shoes (YMC).
